  I have just spent two very enjoyable nights at the Horse & Groom Gosforth.The rooms & beds were very clean & comfortable.Howard the owner was very helpful & knowledgeable about the surrounding area if you want to go walking in the hills he is the person to ask as he used to be part of the Mountain rescue team & will also provide packed lunches for you.The food in the restaurant is very good & reasonably priced the choices for breakfast are very good & cooked to order. He also brews his own beer which is served in the bar & has won numerous awards.All the staff were very helpful & friendly.I would definitely go back to stay there again.Thanks again to Howard & all his staff.

About Horse & Groom Inn in Gosforth

The Horse and Groom Inn, as it’s name implies, is an old coaching inn where you can still see the mounting block outside the front entrance.

This charming exterior with its cobbled pavement is the entrance to our welcoming bar with its fine selection of real ales. This hides the modern extension behind which houses twenty bedrooms and our modern kitchen, restaurant and conference suites.
